Meerut Public School, Pallavpuram celebrated Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti on Saturday, 9th May 2026, with great enthusiasm and reverence. The programme commemorated the birth anniversary of the renowned poet, philosopher, educationist, and Nobel Laureate, Rabindranath Tagore, honouring his timeless contribution to literature, art, and culture.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Ms. Mukti Minocha paid tribute to the legendary literary icon and highlighted the enduring relevance of his ideals in shaping young minds.

To mark the occasion, an Inter-House Poem Recitation Competition was organised for students of Grades 3–5 and Grades 6–8. The participants enthralled the audience with their eloquent recitations, expressive delivery, and confident stage presence.

The judges appreciated the enthusiasm and remarkable performances of all participants. In Grades 3–5, Agrani Anmol Mishra (Shastri House) secured the First Position, followed by Shradha Ahlawat (Nehru House) in Second Position, and Arunima Mishra (Gandhi House) in Third Position. In Grades 6–8, Pihu Jayant (Gandhi House) secured the First Position, while Vyakhaya Singh (Nehru House) and Ilma Saifi (Shastri House) achieved the Second and Third Positions, respectively.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving students inspired by the literary legacy of Rabindranath Tagore.
